We are proud to share that Fusepay has been selected as a semifinalist in the MEST Africa Challenge 2025. This year’s competition, hosted in partnership with the ABSA Group, brings together some of the most promising startups across the continent. Being chosen to represent Seychelles at this stage is an important moment for us and for the broader local tech ecosystem.
The challenge focuses on high-impact fintechs solving meaningful problems in African markets. Our work in building modern payment infrastructure for island economies resonated with the judges, especially as Seychelles prepares to transition away from manual, cheque-based systems toward digital rails. Fusepay was recognised for its ability to deliver real value to SMEs through instant payments, FuseCheq, reconciliation tools, and a responsible approach to compliance and financial infrastructure.
Advancing to the semifinals is more than a competition milestone. It validates the hard work our team has put in and reinforces our belief that small markets can produce world-class innovation. It also gives visibility to Seychelles-based startups on a pan-African stage, something we hope opens doors for more founders in the region.
We want to thank the MEST Africa team, ABSA Group, and the judges for the opportunity. We also extend our appreciation to the businesses in Seychelles that support us and continue to shape our product with real-world feedback.

Fusepay will continue to focus on building a strong launch in Seychelles while preparing for the next stages of growth across island markets. This recognition motivates us to keep pushing forward.
